“Due to the combination of Sales and Marketing, every working day is different.“

“The best thing about my job is that it’s different every day. There is little rut in it. Sales in combination with marketing makes it varied.
I love to get the best solution for the customer in consultation with my colleagues.
And of course to win large orders for World Bearing Trade. ”

I will do anything for the happiness of my son
“What is important to me in life? The most important thing is that my son is happy, I would do everything for that. I also enjoy life as it comes. I spend a lot of time with family and friends. Without them everything would be more difficult. ”

“My hobbies are also related to my son who is now 5 years old. In my spare time I like to do fun things with him: playing football, basketball, fishing, going to an amusement park, cycling, board games, gaming, and so on. I regularly exercise myself. ”

I got a call at exactly the right time
He joined World Trade Bearing through Robert (the CEO). “Yes, we are family. In the summer of 2012 he called me that there was a vacancy in Domestic Sales. This was just the right time, because I was ready for a new challenge. ”

Patrick did something completely different before coming to World Bearing Trade. “I worked at the Silverdome in Zoetermeer, in the catering industry. I worked there for about five years. Before that, I had all kinds of side jobs, in addition to school and study. From picking tomatoes to building tents and from project-planner to working in the event-management. ”

Shares and currencies
After HAVO (a level at School) , Patrick did de MEAO (Commercial Economy). He liked that so much that he successfully added a Higher Vocational Education degree in Commercial Economics to it. “Afterwards I should have gone straight to the HEAO. Those two years of Secondary Vocational Education (MEAO) were really a waste of time in terms of learning and experience. ”

His studies come in handy during his work, but it also still interests him besides his job. “Yes, I’m very interested in economics, stocks and currencies. But I also like trips to beautiful cities, preferably in combination with nature. ”

With eight men to the European Championship in Portugal
When asked what his best holiday ever was, Patrick starts with: “All holidays are fun!” Then he adds: “In 2004 we went to the European Football Championship in Portugal with a group of friends. We were with eight men. We rented a van, drove there, rented a large villa and attended several matches. That was really a great experience! ”

Caring
For his most special quality, Patrick relies on what others say: “That I am very caring for others. If people say this, it’s probably true, right?

However, there is one thing he is less relaxed about: “When people use a lot of English words and expressions. Please just speak in Dutch sentences! Unless they are English or Americans of course, haha. ”

No work? Then I will get bored!
If Patrick didn’t have to work, what would he do with that free time? “Probably be bored to death. Then I really have to look for hobbies! ”

But then he would have plenty of time for his greatest hobby: His son Quint. “For the next few years I am most looking forward to seeing him grow up. To see that he is doing well. Then I’ll be fine too. ”
