“Happy and upbeat”
Carpe diem or better known as seize the day, is the life motto of Wendy Lankester. “I always try to see the positive side and go through life being happy and upbeat. Apart from that, I also think it is very important that everyone is honest towards each other.”
Insurance advisor
Before she started working at World Bearing Trade, Wendy was an insurance advisor with health insurance Zilveren Kruis Achmea. “What I like most about my job is the diversity but also the contact I have with customers and my colleagues from different departments. “
Camping in Northern Spain
Wendy is married, has two children: a daughter and a son. Her hobbies are diverse: Fitness, watching Netflix, going on holiday or just going away for the weekend. “Going out for lunch while shopping in different cities. “
When on holiday, Wendy and her family prefer the Camping Cale Gogo in Northern Spain. “We have been going there for sixteen years now, spending 3 weeks together with our family. Another holiday that is very memorable was a 5-day trip with my husband Jasper to New York. I was a bit nervous though, I don’t like flying at all. “
I can’t stand blood
The best way to start the day is with a refreshing shower. “And a day at work with a nice cup of coffee. “ Humour makes her day, however selfishness would have the opposite effect.”
A profession that doesn’t appeal to her at all is nursing. “Because I can’t stand blood.” Something she would like to be able to do is…. SING!
Enjoy life
If there is one thing (well actually two) that Wendy would like to redo it would be “Having my children, I would like to relive those moments.” And preferably always stay 31: “Having children and yet still be young and fit.”
“What hobby would I have if time and money weren’t a problem? Eating out and going on weekend trips. Enjoying life, actually just like I am doing now.”
